Access and Dissemination Policy

Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Education and Skills for the Green Economy provides immediate and unrestricted online access to its published scholarly content.

Open-access commitment

IJESGE is committed to the principle that scholarly knowledge should be accessible to researchers, educators, students, practitioners, policymakers and the wider public without unnecessary financial or technical barriers.

All articles published by the journal are made freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers are not required to register, subscribe or pay a fee to read or download published articles.

Principles of open access

01

Immediate access

Published content becomes openly accessible immediately after publication, without an embargo period.

02

Free readership

Readers may access and download published articles without subscription charges or paywalls.

03

Wider dissemination

Open availability supports the international visibility, discoverability and responsible use of scholarly research.

04

Proper attribution

Authors and original publication details must always be properly acknowledged when published material is used.

Reader rights

Readers may freely:

  • Read published articles online;
  • Download articles for lawful academic or personal use;
  • Share links to the official published versions;
  • Cite and discuss published research;
  • Use published material subject to the applicable licence, copyright conditions and proper attribution requirements.

No embargo period

IJESGE does not impose a waiting period between formal publication and public access. The published version is accessible as soon as it appears on the journal website.

No reader subscription

Individual readers and institutions do not need a paid subscription to access the journal’s published academic content.

Permanent availability

The journal seeks to maintain reliable and persistent access to published articles through its official website and appropriate preservation arrangements.

Author self-archiving

Authors may deposit and share permitted versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, academic profiles or personal websites, provided that:

  • The authorship of the work is accurately stated;
  • The journal is identified as the place of publication;
  • A complete citation to the published article is provided;
  • The DOI or official article link is included when available;
  • The applicable copyright and licensing conditions are respected.

Copyright and licensing

Open access does not mean that published work has no copyright protection. Copyright ownership, reuse permissions and licensing conditions are governed by the journal’s Copyright and Licensing Policy and by the licence displayed on the published article.

Users must review the applicable licence before reproducing, adapting, translating or commercially reusing journal content. Proper acknowledgement of the authors, article title, journal and publication details is required in all cases.

Publication charges

Open access concerns the public availability of published content. Any fees that may apply to manuscript processing or publication are stated separately in the journal’s Article Processing Charges Policy. The journal does not charge readers for accessing published articles.

Public benefit

Through immediate open access, IJESGE supports equitable access to research on education, green skills, economic literacy and learning for the transition to an inclusive and sustainable green economy.
